  • In addition to a scaled design of the mural proposed, a brief written narrative articulating the illustrated concept is required for each submission. Your application must be thoughtful—please include detailed information envisioning your concept, type[s] of materials and their specifications; research-informed estimate of your time and material cost[s]; and a projected timeline for the project’s completion.
  • Supporting materials, such as link(s) to your artist website, online portfolio, or links to images of past work, projects, press/media, and other applicable information is required. POLICIES

Artists will retain all ownership of their artwork and any design ideas incorporated within this application at the time of submission. Upon selecting an artist or artist team, a contract will be executed and signed by the artist and Franklin Park Mall. At the time a contract is awarded, the ownership of the design and the artwork produced, in this case the public/private art mural project, will become the property of Franklin Park Mall.

Thoughtful consideration and various perspectives will be solicited to discuss and determine which artist candidate(s) best meet the Franklin Park Mall mural project goals and objectives. The final selections will be made by a small committee comprised of members representing Franklin Park Mall.

Financial compensation and insurance for completion of the mural will be executed in accordance with the agreed upon contract between the artist(s) and the center.
